Seven area residents were among 31 defendants who entered guilty pleas in Schuylkill County court recently and were sentenced by Judge John E. Domalakes as follows:

Mark B. Goff, 37, of 112 School St., Jim Thorpe, driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison, fined $1,000, pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to MCARE fund, attend alcohol highway safety school, perform 10 hours of community service, and drivers license suspended 12 months.Goff was cited by Coaldale Patrolman Charles Blesse. Goff was previously admitted in the Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition (ARD) probation program but was revoked for failure to complete all conditions.Joseph Edward Kulha, 20, of 22 Village Crossing Road, Tamaqua R.D., on two charges of being involved in an accident in Port Carbon with a vehicle in which there were two minor children. was sentenced to serve one to 12 months in the county prison, and pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund. Blaine St., McAdoo, on charges of theft, loitering and prowling at night, and possession of drug paraphernalia, was sentenced to serve three to 23 months in the county prison beginning Thursday, Nov. 1, at 9 a.m., and pay $50 to CJEA fund.
