An American Red Cross Bloodmobile will visit Tamaqua on Wednesday, May 23, at St. John United Church of Christ. Hours will be from 1-6 p.m.Anyone 17 or older, who weighs at least 110 pounds and is in good general health is eligible to donate blood. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED CROSS (800-733-2767). Walk-ins are welcome.This visit is being sponsored by Nova Marie's Thrift Shop of Tamaqua.The church is located at Pine and Biddle streets (SR309).Cross countryThe Tamaqua Cross Country Boosters will begin gearing up for the 2012-2013 season and will meet May 30, at 6:30 p.m., on the front steps of the Tamaqua Area Senior High School.
