Schuylkill DA arraigns 70 on criminal counts

Twelve area residents were among 70 defendants who were arraigned Monday morning on criminal charges before District Attorney Karen Byrnes Noon in Schuylkill County court and all entered pleas of not guilty and requested trial by jury.

Justin James Chickilly, 30, of 15 Archery Lane, Tamaqua, charged by Trooper Paul E. Hardnock with terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, simple assault and harassment of Beth Ann Williams, of 63 Fawn Lane, Walker Township, last Jan. 6.Renee Elizabeth Gibas, 40, of 4 Wiggan St., New Philadelphia, charged by Trooper Michael V. Ryan with driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, failing to obey traffic signals, failing to drive on roadway laned for traffic and careless driving on SR61 in North Manheim Township last Oct. 10.Rachel Anne Rogers, 31, of 57 Lime Kiln Road, Andreas, West Penn Township, charged by Trooper Timothy M.
