Terri Lynn Stahler of R. 1, Tamaqua, will become one of the first female fire truck drivers in the area. Terri was admitted as a regular member of the New England Fire Company No. 1. A Bloomsburg State College freshman, Terri concentrates her studies on accounting, but in May will shift her educational efforts to learning operation of the fire company's trucks. During the January meeting, the membership of the New England Fire Company voted to change the by-laws to accept female members.
