A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17.

State police at Lehighton said Thomas Leonard Verrastro, 21, of Lehighton, was stopped for a traffic violation along Alum St., in Lehighton.He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said.
