State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of copper from a site in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said copper wire was removed from the Blaschak Coal Company site at 163 Delano Road, in Mahanoy Township.Troopers said about 600 feet of electrical dragline wire was removed from a wooden spool at the site. No value was listed for the copper.The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21, and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 874-5300.
