State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating an attempted burglary on Jan. 17 located at 1200 block of Country Club Road in Lower Macungie Township.

Police said the victim is a 48-year-old female from Allentown.Police said unknown actor(s) entered her residence via an open garage door and entered the residence, rummaging through several drawers in the kitchen area. Police said the victim's son had been in the shower upstairs and upon exiting yelled downstairs, apparently scaring off the actor(s) who fled from the scene.
