After months of cleanup from last fall's flooding, the 24th annual Early Bird Sports Expo will be held Thursday through Sunday, Jan. 26-29, at the Bloomsburg Fairground. Show hours are Thursday, 4-9 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Returning to the show this year is the 3D archery shoot, which will be conducted by Sutton's Archery of Benton, and there will be a special shoot for youth aged 12 and younger Sunday from 11 a.m. to noon. Targets for the shoot, which will be auctioned off Sunday at 4 p.m. to benefit flood victims in Bloomsburg, have been donated by Cabela's, and there will be a special contest Sunday at 11 a.m. for youth 12 years of age and younger.There will be several seminars on spring gobbler hunting by members of the Col-Mont Gobblers Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, including a calling seminar for youth hunters. Bob Erikson will present his "Wild Turkey 101" seminar, and Jason Michael will present a seminar on decoys for hunting spring gobblers.Other seminars include "Firearms Family Safety and Protection" by Scott Letterman, "Trail Cameras" by Freddie McKnight and "Fishing Techniques and Secrets" by Lance Dunham.
