A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Monday for assault following a domestic incident.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Dean Lamar Dubois, 31, of Joliett, Porter Township, was charged with simple assault and harassment. He was arraigned before duty District Judge David Plachko of Port Carbon and committed to the county prison in lieu of bail.According to troopers the incident occurred about 3:40 p.m. at 127 Main St., Porter Township. At that location Dubois allegedly threw Sarah Elizabeth Harring, 23, of Tremont, on the floor and choked her.
