The North Central PA Regional DUI Enforcement Program has released the results of a Roving DUI Patrol held Thanksgiving weekend in Schuylkill County.

A Roving DUI Patrol was held Nov. 25 with 24 vehicles contacted and detained. Three officers participated, representing three local law enforcement agencies. There were no DUI related arrests, but officers issued eight traffic citations and issued 17 warnings.Additional checkpoints and patrols will be conducted through Dec. 26 on state routes 61, 183, 901, 209, 1006, 309, 443, 895, 125,25, 924, and 54.The checkpoints and patrols are funded through the state Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic safety Administration (NHTSA).The North Central Highway Safety Network reminds travelers to dial 9-1-1 if they suspect a drunk driver.
