Willow street in Nesquehoning was closed to traffic Wednesday afternoon when a utility pole broke off at its base. The incident began at 2 p.m. when the resident at 12 West Mill street reported a pole leaning in towards the residence. When Nesquehoning police arrived on scene they heard the pole cracking at its base and requested the fire department block off the street.
