Young dairy promoters devoted hours to promoting the dairy industry at the Schuylkill County Fair, which ran from July 31, 2011 to August 6, 2011. Between the 12 members of the dairy promotion court, ranging in age from 7 years to 21 years, the Schuylkill County Dairy Promotion Court managed to make its presence known to the Schuylkill County community.The team spent time throughout the week volunteering in the Farming for a Day Children's Area, sponsored by the Dunn family. The girls prepared Got Milk? gift bags for the children and helped the children work through the various farming learning stations.On Kids' Day the girls ran a milk mustache photo booth at the Farm Kids Meet & Greet, where children were able to discover different aspects of being on the farm.Dairy Princess Victoria Daubert presented her musical skit entitled "We Will, We Will Drink Milk!" to a group of children on Kids' Day, as well as her speech entitled "Porous Bones: Are They in Your Future?" to a group of adults. Victoria also presented the Supreme Champion Dairy Cow gallon of milk during the 4-H/FFA Livestock & Dairy Champion Milk Sale.On Wednesday morning, four of the team members started their day bright and early to say good morning to Ryan Leckey from WNEP 16.
