A West Penn Township woman received slight injuries after her vehicle went off the road on Aug. 4 as she was traveling along Owl Creek Road in Tamaqua.

Michelle Walker, 38, of 81 Medical Crossing Rd., told officers she was unfamiliar with the road, which she was using to avoid construction delays in Tamaqua. She overcompensated when driving on a curve, causing her vehicle to go off the road and strike a tree in a heavily wooded section.Walker was wearing a seat belt, which caused a slight injury to her shoulder. She refused medical treatment.
