Vacation Bible School

The Jim Thorpe Ministerium will be sponsoring an Ecumenical Vacation Bible School the week of Aug. 8-13 at Christ U.C. Church, 4th and Center streets, from 6-8:30 p.m.Registration forms have been placed at the local churches; however, if you wish to register your children, you may contact Jamie Kunkel, (570) 325-8670Reunion planning meetingThere will be a meeting on Monday Aug. 8, at noon, at the Lions Club pavilion in Normal Square, for anyone wishing to help with the planning of a Jim Thorpe High School class reunion.The event will be held in 2012 for members of the 1955-1965 classes.If you plan to attend the meeting, you should bring your own bag lunch and beverage.
