Slatington will accept bids on an emergency generator for its waste water treatment plant.

Bids are due to the borough by 3 p.m. Aug. 4, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.The work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment for the supply and installation of a 175 kilowatt packaged generator system, including, but not limited to, wiring, conduit, transfer switch, concrete pad and appurtenances.The project is being federally funded by Environmental Protection Agency funds.
