Fred Douglas entertained dozens of guests during the first concert show of the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce's 2011 Summer Concert Series held every other Thursday in the summer from 6 to 8 p.m. on the platform outside the Tamaqua Train Station. Shows are held weather permitting and are free to the public. People are welcome to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy an evening of musical entertainment. This show was sponsored by AAA Insurance Agency. The next show is Thursday, June 16. A project of the Tamaqua Area Chamber's Marketing Committee, this is the fourth season for the summer concerts at the station.
