Gnaden Huetten Hospital, 211 N. 12th St., is hosting a blood drive from 7 to 11 a.m. in conjunction with Miller-Keystone Blood Center on Thursday, June 9.

Donors registering at this drive or any other MKBC community blood drive in June can enter to win a $250 Visa card, two IronPigs baseball tickets and a picnic basket of goodies.MKBC relies on the support of local blood donors to maintain a safe community blood supply."Our regional hospitals require over 450 units of blood each day to care for their patients, who include burn victims, trauma patients and cancer patients," explains Donor Resources Representative Marie D'Amato.To donate, individuals must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. They must be feeling healthy on the day of the drive and cannot have donated in the past eight weeks.
