State police at Lehighton reported on the following arrests for driving under the influence (DUI) made by troopers.
On Saturday, May 28, about 11:06 p.m. troopers stopped Brandon Eckhart, 28, of Palmerton, operating a moped along Fireline Road near Golf Course Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, for several motor vehicle code violations.He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest. Charges will be filed, troopers said.On Sunday, May 28, about 1:10 a.m. troopers stopped Allen J. Berger, 47, of Lehighton, operating a Chevrolet pickup truck along S. First Street, in Lehighton, for a registration violation. Troopers said Berger was driving under the influence and is facing charges.At 1:45 a.m. on Sunday troopers stopped Trans A. Eckhart, 30, of Lehighton, along SR248 at Club Road, in Parryville, for several motor vehicle code violations. He was found to be under the influence. The DUI charge is pending, troopers said.
