William Z. Scott, former state senator from Carbon County, was elected chairman of the State Liquor Control Board. He replaces A. D. Cohn. Scotts' salary will increase from $17,000 to $18,000 with his elevation to the chairman. He has been a member of the
P.L.C.B. since retiring from the Senate. A former resident of Lansford, where he still maintains a law office, Scott now lives in Pocono Manor. He had served eight years in the House of Representatives and 12 years in the Senate.
