Jarrod Shupp, a 2007 graduate of Palmerton Area High School, graduated May 7 from Robert Morris University, Pittsburgh, with a bachelor of science degree in marketing. He is the son of Chad and Lori Shupp of Germansville.

He is the grandson of Betty and Dave Thomas of Palmerton, and Louise Shupp of Palmerton.Jarrod was on the dean's list all four years of college and received top honors on graduation day.While at Robert Morris University, he was president of his class of 2011, president of the RMU Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America, a Colonial Ambassador, and a campus representative for CBS Sports Network. He was also involved in Division track, and field and Division 2 lacrosse.Jarrod has obtained employment with Prudential Financial as a financial professional associate in Pittsburgh.His future plans are to obtain his master's degree at Duquesne University, while employed with Prudential.
