A Tamaqua area woman has been cited for allegedly removing two DVDs from the Family Dollar Store, 137 N. Railroad St., Tamaqua.

Police officers were dispatched to the store at 10:30 a.m. on May 19 for a retail theft. Store employees had detained the suspect, identified as Desiree M. Trudich, 32, of 562 Pine Creek Dr. Trudich allegedly placed two DVDs in her purse and attempted to leave the store without making payment. She was stopped by the clerk.Misdemeanor charges of retail theft were filed against Trudich.
