Perfect weather prevailed for the beautiful pageantry associated with the annual May Day procession and church services by pupils of the Immaculate Conception School, Mauch Chunk. Hundreds of parents, relatives, and friends lined the procession route. Miss Audrianne Hochmiller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hochmiller, High Street, was attired as May Queen and crowned the status of the Blessed Mother during the church service. Rev. James Doolin was the celebrant at the church services.
