On Saturday, the business will celebrate its fifth anniversary with hot dogs, drinks, a race car to examine, giveaway, service coupons "just plain good old fun" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Customers who mention seeing Ron's Auto Sales & Service in the TIMES NEWS will get up to $500 off their next purchase, said salesman Jeff Bachinski.Owner Ron Hill started the business. With annual sales at about $200,000-$250,000 gross, Bachinski said, the company employs five people, including a notary. It also offers U-Haul rentals, along with moving supplies, including boxes, dollies, wardrobe boxes and furniture pads.Master mechanic Paul Skodacek leases the adjacent garage, Bachinski said."We sell affordable, reliable transportation, generally in the $2,500 to $9,500 range, Bachinski said.Ron's Auto has a unique, guaranteed credit program."Not only can you get an affordable down payment, as low as $500, but it will help rebuild your credit, give you the opportunity to buy a more expensive car down the road. It doesn't matter what your credit situation is," he said.Bachinski said other car dealers may have similar programs, but their down-payments typically run $4,000 or more.Even with the low down payment, monthly payments can be as "little as $200 a month, $50 a week," he said.The business sells GM, Ford, Chevy, Jeep, Dodge, Mazda, Nissan vehicles. "All of our cars, every one, gets warranted," Bachinski said."We don't put a car out that isn't serviced and warranted," he said. The minimum warranty is six months, good anywhere, he said.Bachinski said each car undergoes an "extensive check, not just a state inspection, to ensure there's no extra cost to our customers."Bachinski and Hill have known each other for 15 years, having worked together at a Lehighton dealership.
