The crosswalks situation in Palmerton was again the subject of Myor Guy Zern's report at the borough council meeting. The mayor said that since people have been struck at the crosswalks, there is more reason than ever to enforce the law more stringently. The Pennsylvania law states that a driver must stop at a designated crosswalk if citizens are waiting to cross. The mayor has instructed police to enforce the law and cite people who do not stop.
