A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, along SR209 in Chestnuthill Township.
State police at Fern Ridge said Nakil Mehmedi, of Brodheadsville, was observed in the parking lot of a local business involved in suspicious activity. Troopers pulled behind Mehmedi and observed that he was attempting to take perforated pipe from the property.Troopers said Mehmedi had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath.He was placed under arrest for DUI and taken to the barracks for further processing.
