Jim Thorpe arrests

Jim Thorpe police reported on the following arrests.

On Saturday, April 16, about 9:01 p.m. police were dispatched to the Molly Maguire's Pub & Steakhouse at 5 Hazard Square, for a disturbance. Upon arrival officers found Bruce Emerson Killinger III, 25, of 70 Texas Eastern Rd., in Shermans Dale, Perry County, manifestly under the influence of alcohol. While speaking to Killinger he continued to cause a disturbance after being advised several times to cease and desist.He was placed under arrest and taken to the police station where he became unruly and struggled with the officers while being placed in a holding cell.Killinger was arraigned before District Judge Edward Lewis, of Jim Thorpe, on charges of persistent disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. He was committed to the county prison in Nesquehoning in lieu of 10 percent of $5,000 bail.On Saturday, April 23, about 8:58 p.m. police made a vehicle stop along Susquehanna St. for a motor vehicle code violation. The driver was identified as Gary R. Degennaro, 52, of 17 Crabtree Drive, Levittown. Degennaro displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. He failed field sobriety tests and was transported to the Blue Mountain Health Systems Gnaden Huetten Campus, Lehighton, for a blood test. He refused to submit to the test and will lose his license for a year for the refusal.In addition to a charge of driving under the influence, Degennaro was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.On Tuesday, April 26, about 12:32 p.m. police were dispatched to the Mauch Chunk 5 & 10 store at 9 Broadway for a female waving a sword in front of the business nearly striking two bystanders.Upon arrival officers identified the woman as Suzanne Marga Reinhardt, 45, of last known address of 438 W. Green St., Hazleton.Reinhardt stated that she was attempting to sell the sword due to her recently being homeless. She was taken into custody and charged with possessing a prohibited offensive weapon. She was arraigned before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek, of Lansford. She was committed to the county prison after failing to post $3,000 straight cash bail.
