An early-morning fire extensively damaged a Tamaqua home, while a Tamaqua fire policeman, directing traffic near the scene, suffered a fatal heart attack. Joseph Grayosky, 69, of 515 E. Union St., was pronounced dead in the emergency room of Coaldale Hospital where he was taken after he collapsed at the corner of Pitt and Lafayette streets. The fire extensively damaged the home of Arlin Hill at 209 Gay Street. Three firefighters were injured fighting the fire.
