State police at Lehighton reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by troopers over the past weekend.
On Friday, April 1, about 7:53 p.m. troopers stopped Connor L. Purington, 18, of Saylorsburg, for a vehicle code violation along Pohopoco Road at Station St., in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Purington was found to be under the influence and placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said.On Saturday, April 2, about 2:08 a.m. troopers stopped a 17-year-old male from Saylorsburg for an equipment violation along Shafer Road, in the area of Hideaway Hills Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI. He was taken to the barracks for a breath test then released to the custody of his parents, troopers said.
