March 29, 1956 Palmerton junior Bob Mlkvy is named to the Associated Press First Team All-State squad. Mlkvy, who scored 691 points in 29 games for a 23.8 average, joins Horace Walker of Chester, Walter Mangham of New Castle, Ray Scott of West Philadelphia, Pete Hall of Farrell, and Bob Heffner of Allentown on the First Team. Mlkvy's teammate, Terry Eckert, receives a Honorable Mention selection.
