An elderly woman driving a white Ford sedan west on SR443 in West Penn Township escaped serious injury Tuesday after she turned into the path of a tractor trailer passing her on her left as she began to turn left onto Medical Crossing Road. Police reported that the tractor trailer was passing in a no-passing zone. The tractor suffered minor damage to the fuel tank and cab step. Township Police Chief Brian Johnson is investigating. Fire police directed traffic around the area.
