The most contemptible of all thieves, the chicken thief, is again in our midst here in Lansford. A good load of shot well aimed is the only reliable cure for such a disease. Last week, a poor woman lost six young chickens. At the present price of eggs and feed no one can afford to raise them for the benefit of the good-for-nothing samples of humanity who are indulging their appetites at others expense. If you happen to catch them visiting, you shoot, and don't shoot to scare them either. The world is better off without such people.
