Santa Claus and volunteers of the Owl Creek Reservoir Commission kept both children and visitors buys last weekend during their annual Christmas with Santa held at the dam's pavilion. In addition to food, contests, campfire, music, games, face painting, children got to get their picture taken with Santa Claus on his sleigh.
Hundreds of gifts, to include nine bikes and scooters, were also given out to children at no charge.Owl Creek Reservoir President Tom Banditelli pointed his appreciation for all the cooperation and involvement of the Tamaqua Borough and all the volunteers and sponsors that come together every year to make this event bigger and better. Last Sunday's Christmas with Santa was canceled due to rain. The rain date is set for this Sunday, Dec. 19, from noon to 4 p.m.
