Palmerton's John Thomas, actor of stage and television, playedco-host with New York City's Mayor John Lindsay and such other radio and TV personalities as Arlene Francis, Anne Jackson, James Baldwin, Joan Hackett, Peter Cook, Edwin Newman, Dudley Moore, Rex Reed, and Eli Wallach at the sixth anniversary fund-raising party of "The Fortune Society." The fete was held in the Harvard Club on West 44th Street in New York City.
