Blue Christmas service

St. Matthew's UCC will hold a Blue Christmas Service on Monday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. with communion.Secret Sister luncheonSt. Matthew's will have its Secret Sister luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. If you are already a member, be sure to come and bring a covered dish. If you would like to be a member, also come and join up for next year. You do not have to be a member of the church.As a Secret Sister, you pray for your secret sister throughout the year, and your secret sister will pray for you. Then at the end of the year, at the luncheon, your Secret Sister is revealed to you.This year at the luncheon, the ladies will be making fleece blankets for the ministry of Layers of Love where each blanket is given to a chemotherapy patient so they have comfort and warmth as they are going through their treatments.Christmas Treasure ExtravaganzaBring your Christmas presents to be wrapped to St. Matthew's between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11 and let the In-Betweeners wrap them for you, for a donation. Bring the children to shop in St. Matt's Mini Mall for inexpensive gifts. And don't go home without having your picture taken with Santa Claus.
