An "informational community board meeting" by Lehighton Area School Board will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the Lehighton Area Middle School.

According to a notice for the meeting, it will "serve to give awareness to the community and assist the LASD school board with determining best directions for the district.The topic will be the building and grounds facilities of the school district.El Architect Associates will present the recently completed "feasibility report" and explain the long-term district needs.Expected to be included in the discussion will be the status of the existing Middle School.The notice says, "Discussions will include possible options for improvement of some of our facilities in greatest need."The meeting is open to the public.
