A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one- vehicle crash that occurred about 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, along Schuylkill Avenue in Shenandoah Heights, West Mahanoy Township.

State police at Frackville said Krystal Marie Lombardo, 27, of Shenandoah, was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero westbound when she lost control while negotiating a left-hand curve. The car went onto the north shoulder and struck an embankment.The car came to rest blocking the eastbound lane facing west.Lombardo, who was not injured, was found to be under the influence and was transported to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, for a blood test.Troopers said the DUI charge is pending the test results.
