Members of Cub Scout Pack 138 distributed Scouting for Food bags last weekend.

This weekend, Saturday, Nov. 13, the scouts will be collecting the bags for residents that wish to donate canned goods to the local food pantries. The scouts will begin around 9 a.m. and are asking that the bags with the food items be placed on your porches.Christmas Party setMembers of the Phoenix Fire Company will be holding their annual Christmas party at the fire company on Dec. 10. A meeting will be held at 6 p.m. with the gathering to follow.Reservations will be accepted by Arlene Dombrosky until Dec. 1. The program is open to children up to 12 years of age and up to 14 years for special needs children.A barrel is located at 22 E. 6th St., for anyone wishing to donate to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.For more information contact Ed at (570) 325-2408.
