Bail hearings

Judge Jacqueline Russell vacated a bench warrant issued to bring Darnell Clinton Coad, 31, Pottsville, into court for a hearing. New bail was set at $500 percentage subject to special conditions. The new conditions include upon release from Berks County Prison he shall reside at 777 Court Street, Reading, with his mother and shall not move from the residence without court approval, shall refrain from criminal activity and appear at all future court proceedings and shall not operate a motor vehicle until property licensed. He faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Schuylkill County.Jeffrey Paul Leonard, 41, Minesville, had his original monetary conditions of bail reinstated by Judge Stine and he shall be released on bail to a psychiatric center for evaluation and treatment if needed. The judge dismissed a charge of robbery filed against Leonard but he still faces charges possession an instrument of crime, simple asault and the theft from Turkey Hilil Mini Mart in Branch Township.
