Tamaqua High School graduate Kristina Zwolenik had anoutstanding freshman tennis season at at Penn State Hazleton.

Zwolenik, the 2010, TIMES NEWS Tennis Player of the Years, competed at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles for PSU-Hazleton and went undefeated during the regular season. Zwolenik had an 11-0 record in singles and 10-0 mark in doubles.Zwolenik capped her outstanding season in the PSUAC tournament at Penn State's main campus by capturing the No. 1 singles women's title, ending her season with a perfect 13-0 record. Zwolenik also played in the PSUAC doubles tournament and advanced all the way to the finals before falling.
