A hayride float, sponsored by a Jim Thorpe group, was among the winning entries in the Lehighton Halloween Parade last night, claiming a $12 reward.
An estimated 5,000 persons watched the mammoth line of march in which an estimated 1,500 men, women and children took part.The Nesquehoning High School Band won second prize in the junior musical organizations category, winning $65.The six division fete was sponsored by the Lehighton Chamber of Commerce and the United Veterans Organization.
