Charges are pending following an incident in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred on Oct. 14, at 83 Visa Drive, Ross Township, between 9 and 11 p.m. According to troopers Vanessa Pettis, 21, of Saylorsburg, took the 1994 Chevrolet Corsica of Taunya Pettis, 44, of Saylorsburg, after being told she could not use the vehicle.After Vanessa Pettis returned with the vehicle her passenger, Charles Miller Jr., 22, of Allentown, was allegedly slapped in the face by Taunya Pettis. The pending charges are unauthorized use of a automobile and harassment, troopers said.
