State police at the Lehighton are investigating the theft of a license plate from a vehicle that had been parked at a Monroe County business. The incident happened between 11 p.m. Oct. 7 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 8.

The victim is Thomas J. Skvasik, 35, of Saylorsburg.He told police someone removed the plate from his vehicle as it was parked at the Jonas Hotel Restaurant, Polk Township.Anyone with information about the incident or plate is asked to contact police at (610) 377-4270.
