A Carbon County woman has been the victim of a theft incident.

State police at Lehighton said they are investigating an incident reported by Denise Marie Sponheimer, 48, of 200 Bridge St., Weissport. Troopers said Sponheimer reported someone stole a check and access card from her. The check was cashed and purchases were made with the card.
