An assault at a Monroe County bar has led to the arrest of two persons

Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to Burkes Tavern, located along SR611 in Mt. Pocono, about 1:07 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 8, to a report of a fight at the front door of the establishment.Upon arrival officers found Jonathan Peters, 29, of Paradise Valley, with facial injuries sustained when he was punched. Ronald G. Lise Sr., 48, of Moscow, Lackawanna County, was arrested for simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness. Also cited was Joseph M. Decroti, 21, of Tobyhanna, for public drunkenness.Police added that charges are pending against several other persons located at the scene.
