The engagement of Drewann Eckman to Charles Troutman, both of Lehighton, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Malinda and Kyle Eckman, Lehighton. She is a 2006 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and will graduate this month from Kutztown University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Glenn and Joan Troutman, Lehighton. He is a 2002 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and attended LCCC. He is employed as a railroad conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad.A wedding date has been set for October 2011.
