State police at Lehighton are investigating a shooting Monday night in Lower Towmensing Township. The Lower Towmensing Township Fire Company was requested to the scene by state police to provide lighting for troopers to gather evidence and to block off Little Gap and Lower Smith Gap roads. The shooting occurred at a home along the south berm of Lower Smith Gap Road.
