Thirteen first-Ã¥time offenders in criminal cases were placed in Carbon County's Accelerated Rehabilitation Dispositon (ARD) program this week.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program their record is wiped clean. However, if they are revoked from the program the Commonwealth reserves the right to prosecute them on all charges originally filed against them. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.Those placed by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II or Judge David W. Addy were:Kyle S. Blocker, 29, of Bethlehem, was placed for a year on a charge of driving under the influence (DUI). He was arrested on March 15 along Mauch Chunk St., in Mahoning Township. Given a test, the result was .16BAC.He was ordered to pay $450 and costs, get a drug and alcohol (D&A) evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment and his license was suspended for 60 days.Eric David Craigie II, 32, of Jim Thorpe, was placed for a year on a charge of simple assault. He was arrested on July 12 by Jim Thorpe police for an incident along Center St. and Mark A. Miller listed as the victim.He was ordered to pay $350 and costs, get a D&A evaluation and make restitution, if any, in an amount to be determined.Bejtullah Mehmeti, 19, of Lansford, was placed for 18 months on a charge of aggravated assault. He was arrested on June 11 by Lansford police for an incident along W. Ridge St. with Officer Timothy Wuttke the listed victim.He was ordered to pay $350 and costs and render 18 hours of community service.Brandon Metzger, 25, of Allentown, was placed for a year on a DUI charge. He was arrested on July 3 along Mauch Chunk St., in Mahoning Township. Given a test, the result was .08BAC.He was ordered to pay $350 and costs, get a D&A evaluation and render the hours of community service.Matthew E. Rambo, 20, of Jim Thorpe, was placed for a year on a charge of simple assault. He was arrested on July 30 by Jim Thorpe police for an incident along W. Broadway with Officer Michaelangelo Bokeko the listed victim.He was ordered to pay $500 and costs and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.Thomas Rossochacy Jr., 25, of Tamaqua, was placed for a year on a charge of DUI. He was arrested on July 5 along Mauch Chunk St., in Mahoning Township, after being involved in an accident. Given a test, the result was .18BAC.He was ordered to pay $450 and costs, get a D&A evaluation and his license was suspended for 60 days.Jonathan R. Strohl, 25, of Jim Thorpe, was placed for a year on a charge of DUI. He was arrested on May 25 along Mauch Chunk St., in Mahoning Township. Given a test, the result was .11BAC.He was ordered to pay $400 and costs, get a D&A evaluation, license suspended for 30 days and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.Steven Roy Walck, 20, of Jim Thorpe, was placed for six months on a charge of retail theft. He was arrested on Feb. 1 at the Walmart store in Mahoning Township. The value of the items allegedly taken was $479.80.He was ordered to pay $500 and costs, make restitution as determined and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.Dustin Lee Bauer, 22, of Aquashicola, was placed for a year on a charge of DUI. He was arrested on June 27 along Forest Inn Rd., in Lower Towamensing Township. Given a test, the result was .22BAC.He was ordered to pay $450 and costs, get a D&A evaluation and license suspended for 90 days.Jamie Allen Frantz, 34, of Kunkletown, was placed for a year on a DUI charge. He was arrested on July 19 along Delaware Avenue, Palmerton. Given a test, the result was .24BAC.He was ordered to pay $450 and costs, get a D&A evaluation and license suspended for 60 days.Kyle Craig James, 19, of Pocono Lake, was placed for a year on a DUI charge. He was arrested on June 10 along SR1003 in Kidder Township. Given a test, the result was .20BAC.He was ordered to pay $450 and costs, get a D&A evaluation, and license suspended for 90 days.Zachary Marlin Zehner, 19, of Lehighton, was placed for a year on a DUI charge. He was arrested on June 6 along SR248 in Franklin Township. Given a test, the result was .15BAC.He was ordered to pay $400 and costs, get a D&A evaluation, license suspension for 90 days and render three hours of community service per month while in the program.Mark King Swain, 45, of Lake Harmony, was ordered to pay a fine of $10 and costs on a charge of simple assault. He was arrested on Aug. 7 by Kidder Township police following a domestic incident in which Lisa Labar is listed as the victim.All those placed must also pay a $50 per month supervision fee.
