A 19-year-old Albrights-ville man was arrested on armed robbery charges stemming from an incident at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday at Stillwater Lakes, Pocono Summit, Monroe County.
Pocono Mountain Regional Police said Kenneth Lloyd was arraigned on chargeS of robbery, simple assault, theft and receiving stolen property and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, in lieu of $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 13 in Tobyhanna.Police said a 17-year-old boy from Pocono Summit was also arrested in connection with the incident. He was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana. Released in the custody of his parents, he will be processed through the Monroe County Court's Juvenile Office.Police said they were called to Stillwater Lakes to answer a report of a man with a gun who had threatened another person. While en route, the caller reported that the gunman had fled the scene in a dark gray Ford Mustang.Police located the vehicle and encountered two individuals in it, taking Lloyd into custody for robbery for allegedly stealing the car from a different 17-year-old Pocono Summit juvenile at gunpoint. The charged juvenile was apprehended for having the marijuana.Police said they discovered Lloyd went to the victim's house to confront him about involvement in a gang, and then robbed him of his car keys at gunpoint. Police later executed a search warrant on the vehicle, which was registered to Lloyd, and recovered a loaded .357 mahnum revolver with obliterated serial numbers on it that is believed to have been used in the robbery.Police said lloyd will be facing additional charges for possession of a firearm without a license, as well as for possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
