Dale Reeder, president of the Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club, presented donations of food items that were collected as admission to the club's recent Halloween Spooktacular, hosted for children in the Lehighton community to Alma Zern, food pantry coordinator at Trinity Lutheran Church, Third Street, Lehighton. Zern said that the donations were especially critical as the food pantry had given out supplies to a record number of families on Tuesday. She said that it was the first time the shelter presented food to 160 families. Last week's total was 140-plus families.
