The annual dinner meeting of the Palmerton Camera Club will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 5th and Lafayette, Palmerton.

Interest in our National Parks has been peaked recently by the series on PBS. The program by Florence Robin on Yellowstone National Park will be of interest to everyone.Florence Robin hails from the South Jersey Camera Club. Her preference for subjects is eclectic, ranging from landscapes to black light and anything in between. She has presented lectures and workshops at Berks Photographic Conferences in Kutztown, NECCC conferences in Amherst, Mass., and the Federation of Camera Clubs.Robin says, "When I am taking a photograph, I ask myself what is it that attracts me to this image? Through my work, I hope the viewer sees and feels what I do, and is able to immerse one's self within it."In September of this year she traveled to Yellowstone National Park and will show her photographs from that trip.Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is America's first national park. Located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, it is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Preserved within Yellowstone National Park are Old Faithful and a collection of the world's most extraordinary geysers and hot springs, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.At 6:30 p.m. a BBQ chicken dinner will be served with a fee. Reservations are required for the dinner, Nov. 16 is the deadline. Florence's program will begin about 7:30 p.m. which is free, and no reservations are required. An opening reception will be held on Friday, Nov. 6, from 6-8 p.m. Please come visit the Gallery, see the photographs, and meet the artists. The work will be on display throughout November.
